How verification works

Every badge on MEDAGREE reflects a specific, human-reviewed check — nothing more, nothing less. This page is the exact contract behind each tier, so you can decide how much weight to give a profile.

Unverifiedshown as: Amber pill

The doctor has an account but is not verified: they have not submitted documents yet, their submission was returned, or it is queued for human review.

What was checked: Nothing has been confirmed. Treat clinical claims accordingly.

Verifiedshown as: Verified tick

A reviewer matched the doctor’s medical-council registration (NMC/state council number) against their identity. Where a postgraduate speciality qualification was also supplied, that was reviewed against the uploaded degree documents too.

What was checked: Registration number and name — and, where shown on the profile, the speciality.

Sellers: “Business documents checked”

A seller carries this label after our team reviewed the business documents they uploaded, such as GST registration and, where relevant, drug or CDSCO licences, at a point in time. We do not verify products, stock, pricing, quality or whether a licence is still valid. Buyers must make their own checks before they buy.

What a badge does not claim

Think a badge is wrong? Report the profile from its ⋯ menu — reports route straight to the review team.
